For communion wedding services, this two-piece set is ideal. The wide-mouth chalice will accommodate the dipping of the bread into the wine, or the chalice may be shared between the bride and groom. The set makes a wonderful wedding gift, which can be used at the service and then, later, for a child's First Communion or eventually their wedding. Available with or without carved cross. Also called the Intinction set, this wedding set is available in Otoe (shown - cream glaze with brown and blue incised banding), Memorial (mostly unglazed), or Neuhaus (dark blue, special order only, please call.) Not a souvenir, this is pottery is created for celebration of the Lord's supper. Wheel-thrown, and made of a sturdy high-fired stoneware clay, there is no lead used in the glaze and the pottery is safe to use.
